My Story
Hello! I am Leslie, and I warmly welcome you to my shop, Leslie Jenner Handmade! Located in the heart of Homewood, Illinois, my small batch pottery/art studio has become a sanctuary of creativity and craftsmanship. Art and ceramics have been intertwined in my life since forever, leading me to pursue ceramics and painting during my BFA studies in college. Ever since then, I have never ceased to create, and my current clay work revolves around exploring illustrative, hand-drawn elements with a worn and vintage finish. Within these studio walls, I breathe life into an array of ceramic wonders, including planters, bead jewelry, and delightful dishes. My inspiration often stems from what I affectionately call “Camp Crafts” – those cherished projects we made at summer camps, from friendship bracelets to yarn weaving and dream catchers. I thrive on creative waves, meticulously crafting small batches of each item from raw clay to the final firing, allowing my ideas to blossom without distraction from other projects. Being a plant enthusiast at heart, working on planter pots is where my passion truly flourishes – because every splendid houseplant deserves a one-of-a-kind pot! To stay connected with the magic brewing in my studio, follow me on Instagram, where I share the behind-the-scenes glimpses of my artistic journey. Join me in celebrating the beauty of handmade ceramics and the artistry that flows from my heart to your home.
